Safety Connections meetings are designed to bring together individuals responsible for safety in their organizations in order to share information and learn from others. Date: May 17, 2012 Topic: Emergency Preparedness Every year, emergencies take their toll on business and industry - in lives and dollars. Find out how well-developed emergency plans and proper employee training can limit injuries and damages and help you return more quickly to normal operations. Lean the ins and outs of emergency planning and response and find out what resources are available to you. Topic: Introduction to the New Hazard Communication Standard & GHS New changes to OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard will further improve safety and health protections for over 43 million American workers. According to OSHA, the GHS is expected to prevent injuries and illnesses, save lives and improve trade conditions for chemical manufacturers. Find out what will be required of chemical manufacturers and employers. Get an overview of the new labeling requirements, the 16 sections of the new Safety Data Sheets, and find out what training requirements need to be met by December 2013.
