She has held several positions through her tenure at the Council and took over as Executive Director in 1994. Laurie has served on a variety of committees and boards including Nebraska Injury Community Planning Group, Nebraska Safety Center Advisory Board, Safe Kids Lincoln-Lancaster County, Nebraska Boiler Advisory Committee, and National Safety Council Board of Directors. Currently, she serves as Co-Chair of the Nebraska Injury Community Planning Group, member of the Nebraska Preventive Health Advisory Committee, and on the board of WorkWell
