Two million people are hospitalized each year because of injuries. Be prepared in the event of an injury or illness and know how to react in an emergency. You can make the difference in a life and death situation. This National Safety Council interactive course combines lecture, video, group discussion, and hands-on training. This course meets all of the latest medical and OSHA guidelines.

• Breathing emergencies
• Sudden illnesses and injuries
• Severe and minor bleeding emergencies
• Preventing disease transmission
• Basic life support (CPR)
• Rescue breathing
• Choking victims
• AED operation and use

Students receive a Student Manual, First Aid Quick Guide and Video Self Instruction DVD for retention and home use. Participants are given the National Safety Council two-year certificate for CPR/AED and a three-year certificate for first aid.

This course covers adult First Aid and CPR; pediactric (infant and child) classes are avaialble by calling the Nebraska Safety Council at 402-483-2511 ext 108.

Looking for First Aid ONLY or CPR/AED ONLY?  Register for the portion of the class you need.  First Aid only students attend class between 8 am and 12 pm; CPR/AED only students attend class between 12:30 pm and 4 pm.  If attending First Aid only or CPR/AED only, you will need to call the office to register.
