OSHA Memo - Employer Safety Incentive and Disincentive Policies and Practices

On March 12, OSHA issued a memorandum to its Regional Administrators and Whistleblower Program Managers. The memorandum is intended to provide guidance to both field compliance officers and whistleblower investigative staff on several employer practices that can discourage employee reports of injuries and violate section 11(c), or other whistleblower statutes. One practice mentioned in the memo is incentive programs.
