Laurie Klosterboer has dedicated over 34 years to promoting safe and healthy environments in our workplaces and communities across Nebraska. Her knowledge and passion spans from safety to health and wellness and defensive driving. Highlights of her involvement in local organizations includes 2016-2017 President of the Nebraska Society of Association Executives, 2016-2017 Treasurer of the Toastmasters Club, Co-Chair of the Nebraska Injury Community Planning Group, as well as a member of the Drive Smart Nebraska Coalition and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Safe Kids Coalition.

Heather has a true passion for safety and improving the health and lives of workers. Her extensive experience with OSHA, EPA, and DOT agencies as well as knowledge of ANSI, NFPA, ISO and ASTM standards make her a valuable asset to the Nebraska Safety Council and our members. She has over 15 years of manufacturing, food distribution and general industry experience holding management positions in Human Resources, Operations and Safety.

Lisa has over 26 years of experience in corporate wellness and prevention. Lisa previously lead WorkWell for 22 years as she performed and managed various projects. Lisa left WorkWell in 2012 to lead the implementation of the 2-year $8.5M CDC National Healthy Worksite Program, a new comprehensive human risk improvement cost containment management program. Lisa has been awarded the Governor’s Excellence in Leadership Recognition by Governor Dave Heineman in 2012, Healthy Innovation Award Program Finalist by Center of Disease Control in 2011, LiveHealthy Nebraska Star Award by Nebraska Sports Council in 2011, and Well City Lincoln Award in 2000.

Ric has been an adult instructor since 2004, with extensive law enforcement experience. He has been focused in workplace safety since 2006, most recently with Reinke Manufacturing where they won numerous state and national safety awards.

Mark Segerstrom attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and Palmer College of Chiropractic earning both a Bachelor’s of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. He spent twenty years owning and operating a successful multi-clinic chiropractic office in Portland, Maine.He and his wife moved back to Nebraska in 2011 when he accepted a job with the Department of Motor Vehicles as a Supervisor teaching staff and the public about both state and federal traffic rules and regulations. He taught statewide examiners in a two phase, two-year roll-out of new federal regulations regarding Commercial Motor Vehicle safety improvements. This position is a grant funded position from the Nebraska Department of Roads Highway Safety Office.
