Join us to celebrate OSHA Safe + Sound Week. Hear from OSHA Area Director, Jeff Funk on OSHA area updates and Safe + Sound Week promotion. Richard Kersh of Orthus Health will share data on linking wellness performance metrics to safety outcomes. Allan Ellison, President of Hearing Testing, Inc. will be available onsite for a tour of their mobile testing unit.

Jeff Funke is currently the Area Director for the Omaha, Nebraska Office of OSHA.  Mr. Funke began his career with OSHA in 2001 as an Industrial Hygienist in the Billings, Montana Area Office of OSHA.  During his 15-year tenure with the agency, Funke has served as Assistant Area Director for the Mobile, Alabama Area Office of OSHA and as the Area Director in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Funke has a Master’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene from Montana Tech of the University of Montana and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health for Boise State University.  Mr. Funke has been a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) since 2005.

Richard has also led or been a key author of projects that include the development of customized health risk appraisals, physical ability tests to help prevent workers compensation claims before they occur, a patent-pending methodology for measuring the financial efficacy of wellness programming, and has consulted with various well-known academic institutions with regard to Population Health Management programs.
