As drivers differ greatly in experience, attitudes and daily driving routines, it is nearly impossible for one training class to address all strategies for improvement. Recognizing this, the Nebraska Safety Council offers several Defensive Driving Courses to meet the needs of virtually any driver.

The Alcohol and Drug Offender Course is a fast-paced and relevant course conducted in part by members of the community who serve in a variety of professional capacities. The course, which is designed to meet the court requirements of numerous judicial entities, can be taken in 8, 12, and 15-hour levels. A Victim Impact Panel is included in the 8, 12, and 15-hour classes.
All classes are held in Lincoln.
This weekend seminar class can be taken the following ways:
Alcohol and Drug Offender Course 8-Hour-(ADSC8): This class includes modules on understanding and perception, first responders and long term caregivers and what they experience, impairment and the law, and legal representation. A Victim Impact Panel presentation is included in this course. The tuition for this course is $105.
Alcohol and Drug Offender Course 12-Hour-(ADSC12): This class meets Missouri (SATOP) and Iowa (OWI) requirements. In addition to the ADSC8 course modules, sections that emphasize recidivism and re-offense issues are included. The tuition for this course is $140. Please note, this is a two day class.
Alcohol and Drug Offender Course 15-Hour-(ADSC15): In the full 15-hour course students receive all of the ADSC12 modules as well as in depth driving and decision making modules. This class meets Lancaster County (Nebraska) requirements. The tuition for this course is $195. Please note, this is a two day class.
