Matt Thurlby, OSHA, Area Director for the Omaha, NE Office

Matt is currently the Area Director for the Omaha, Nebraska Office of OSHA. Mr. Thurlby began his career with OSHA in 2000 as a Compliance Safety and Health Officer in the Omaha Area Office.  During his 21-year tenure with the agency, Mr. Thurlby has served as a compliance officer, Safety and Health Manager for Region VII, Assistant Area Director, and his current role as Area Director. Mr. Thurlby is also a U.S. Air Force veteran; beginning his military career as a Security Policeman in 1986 and retraining into the Safety career field in 1989. Mr. Thurlby was part of the World Trade Center and Hurricane Katrina response Teams for OSHA. He has received numerous awards for his efforts over the years to include the OSHA Champion of the Year.
